Mugithi artist Eddie Gathenge skipped Form three thanks to his indiscipline traits that nearly made him drop out of school altogether.
Gathenge who hails from Kiharu, Murang’a county had joined Murang’a High school.
But here the third born in a family of five was suspended while in Form two because of indiscipline.
He stayed out of school for a whole year before joining Kiangoci Secondary School in Murang’a where in first term at Form three he was among students who beat up the head boy.
He of the popular songs include “Matuini Ni Gwitu” and “Ciahoha” was expelled again and spent another year at home doing menial jobs and;
“smoking illegal stuff. I was reckless and cared less” Gathenge revealed in a recent interview.
After a whole year out of school he rejoined the school after he apologised to his father and promised to behave.
He joined Form four but paid the whole fees for the Form three to allow him skip that academic year.
He scored B+ and is currently pursuing a degree in gynecology at Kenyatta University.
