You’ve heard Wambui Nyutu mentioned at the tail end of songs by popular Mugithi artists. She is a youth leader whose shift from university to political realms three years ago was smooth that now she is a millionaire.
The 28-year-old graduate from University of Nairobi in 2016 and as of now, her net worth is Sh23 million.
Wambui told Parliament she is worth Sh23 million as MPs approved her other appointment as director National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) alongside seven others.
She was appointed director of the National Irrigation Board in 2016 and then last month appointed to serve in NCIC.
She connected with top Jubilee leaders in 2017 campaigns for Uhuruto and was later awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) for “her role in formation Warembo Na Uhuru lobby that mobilised youth votes”.
While MP were vetting them, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino described Wambui as; “Beautiful and competent”.
The law graduate is fond of supporting Kikuyu musicians grow their talents, bankrolling their productions.
She is also legal secretary at Peman Consultants and had worked as Legal Officer at Kiragu Wathuta and Company Advocates.
She claims her journey to success started with a clothes shop she started while in university that has now three more stores.
