A survey conducted by All Africa Advisors on performance of all the 47 governors has ranked Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu as the worst performing governor.
The UK-based firm released the results today rating Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua as the best performing county boss followed by Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa).
The survey was dubbed Results of an Independent Survey of the Effectiveness of Devolution in Kenya: 2013-2019.
Central Kenya governors, where 2022 succession politics has reached tempo performed badly.
Only Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga who was in the list of the top 24 performing governors. He was ranked number 16 while in the side of worst performing governors had Mwangi wa Iria (Murang’a) at number 26, Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua) at 28, Anne Waiguru Kamotho (Kirinyaga) at 29 and Waititu at the tail end.
