Kiambu women representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba has asked for repentance for calling NASA party leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga demeaning name.
Wa Muchomba during a recent event attended by Raila admitted she was among top rivals of Raila who insulted him Kimundu (Loosely meaning huge, worthless person) during the 2017 polls.
“I saw you entering I said Halleluya. You are here. Finally I want to repent” said a remorseful Wa Muchomba. She went ahead to ask those in attendance if she should repent.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly the person behind “Kimundu” slur. He used the demeaning label the most during the last polls but everything changed after the handshake with Raila on March 9, 2018.
Wa Muchomba who worked for Kameme FM owned by Kenyatta family admitted she picked the insult from “Some people”.
“Your Excellency during 2017 campaigns I was a presenter and didn’t know where this Kimundu name came from but I heard people calling you so. And me I was just propagating the name Kimundu” she admitted in front of Raila. (Watch Video Below)
She went on; “And now that you and President Uhuru Kenyatta you are calling each other my brother, today I was to ask for forgiveness. I will never call you Kimundu again. And I repeat I will never call you Kimundu again”.
The women rep said the handshake has brought peace into Kenya, made businesses and homes flourish peacefully, education to continue and country as grow”
“Today I am one of the greatest ambassador of embrace and I invite you in Kiambu you come we eat maize together”, she told the ex-PM.
Kiambu County Women Representative Gathoni wa Muchomba has apologised to Nasa leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for calling him Kimundu (Loosely meaning huge, worthless person) during the 2017 polls.
She expressed her apologies at an event attended by Raila. She claimed she picked the insult from politicians and propagated it on radio when she was presenter at Kameme FM.
