It has become a battle of titans for Nairobi-Thika-Makongeni route after Super Metro launched operation on the route with fairer charges but Kenya Mpya is unrelenting.
Super Metro kicked off operation with free rides and reasonable charges. Metro charges Sh50 and Sh60 as their competitors charge between Sh70 and Sh80.
But the competition got better today after Joy Kenya Mpya reduced peak fare between Thika and Nairobi to Sh50. And it is predicted its two siblings Kenya Mpya and Neo Kenya Mpya will follow suit.

The route was Kenya Mpya turf after it hushed Chania Travellers and Manchester Travelers Sacco. But disciplinary cases and frequent accidents shattered their reputation and subsequent entry of a competitor has seen them try all tactics to keep customers.
