Judiciary has closed Thika courts for two weeks after three staff from the Environment and Land Court contracted COVID-19.
The three tested positive for Coronavirus within a span of 24 hours.
Acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, in a statement to newsrooms said the court has a total of 10 staff members, all of whom have since been identified and directed to go into self-quarantine with immediate effect.
“All urgent matters for Thika ELC Court shall be directed to Murang’a ELC Court,” Mwilu said.
Adding; “We wish the affected staff members quickest recovery. We shall resume normal service delivery as soon as circumstances allow. An update will, in any event, be given as soon as that becomes possible.”
