Governor Mike Sonko claims he is not behind “Mike Sonko Rescue Loans-Official” App on Google Play App purporting to offer loans to subscribers.
People behind that Loans App that has since been pulled down purported to give up-to Sh70, 000 loans without paperwork. They claimed to work with Sonko’s office.
“Please beware of these fraudsters who are using a Google play App to con innocent members of the public” Sonko alerted the public.
He added; “My office does not operate a loan scheme and any person masquerading as a Nairobi County employee or associating me with such criminal acts should be apprehended and prosecuted”.

This comes weeks after another Loans App using Starehe MP Charles Njagua (Jaguar) name emerged.
Jaguar distanced himself from the App bore image of Jaguar claimed to give loans starting from Sh5, 000 and promises to deposit the money in the borrower’s bank account, which is not typical of other loans Apps.
