Politician’s Range Rover found with Probox number plates

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminals Investigations have discovered that controversial politician and businessman Steve Mbogo used a Range Rover bearing number plates belonging to a Toyota Probox.

The officers impounded it today and Mbogo who vied for Starehe Parliamentary seat in 2017 now faces the charges of evading duty and fraudulently obtaining number plates.

“Upon carrying out preliminary investigations, the vehicle number plates were found to belong to a Probox” the DCI has announced. The luxury car bore registration number KCL 830A.

This comes as DCI narrows down on nine vehicles being sought for exhibit in ongoing investigations. They include five Toyota Prados, three Toyota Double Cabins and a Land Cruiser Pickup.

In January Mbogo was on spotlight after he showed up with Semi-Automatic Assault Rifle and bulletproof rifle at Riverside Drive where terrorist had struck, killing dozen people. He was later summoned and grilled by police.
