Police put 9pm curfew in Juja Farm to combat robberies

Curfew in Juja Farm to tame crime.

Bodaboda riders have been prohibited from accessing Juja Farm area past 9pm as police tries to combat crime in the area.

Juja Deputy County Commissioner Charles Mureithi who gave that directive also instructed residents to be indoors by 10pm.

“From 10pm, all residents should be in their houses. This will ease the fight against crime as we shall be sure that those on our roads are criminals,” Mureithi ordered.

The area in Kiambu county has experience a spate of robbery incidents, most of them facilitated by bodabodas.

Gangs terrorising these areas have been dressing in police uniform and armed with gun, machetes and axes have been raiding homes in Juja Farm, stealing household items and sexually assaulting women before escaping on motorbikes.
