Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has plans to establish a campus in Kigumo constituency, Murang’a County.
A location has been set aside and the area MP Wangari Mwaniki has pledged to boost the project with Sh20 million from the constituency kitty.
KMTC board led by the Chairman Prof Philip Kaloki toured Kigumo and the location where four acres have been set aside near Kigumo hospital where they hinted that the project is ripe.
KMTC has 67 campuses across Kenya and in entire Murang’a County there is only one.
“After completion, it will not only give youths from kigumo a chance to get training in medical related courses but also bring direct employment to my constituents and growth of Kigumo town” Wangari stated.
