Njogu wa Njoroge takes over Kameme TV’s morning show

Njogu wa Njoroge first day on Kameme TV.

Radio presenter Njogu wa Njoroge is now Kameme TV’s morning show (Rikiratha) host alongside Wangechi Wa Kariuki.

The former Kameme FM presenter was poached from Gukena FM where he was working since late 2016 after he ditched the Kenyatta-owned Kikuyu radio.

Njogu wa Njoroge will be hosting Rikiratha Show alongside Wangechi wa Kariuki.

Njogu had worked in Kameme FM for over 10 years before shifting to Gukena. His comeback was feared would trigger conflicts because his former morning show (Arahuka) on radio was in hands of Gatonye wa Mbugua and Muthee Kiengei.

He kicked off the TV show yesterday after its pioneer host Ndung’u wa Mburu was pushed out to pave way for him. Rikiratha starts from 6am to 11 am from Monday to Friday.

Mburu, a former KTN reporter told his fans about the exit on Saturday. He posted a photo with Njogu saying;

“Passing on the baton to a legend. All the best Mr. Elephant Man. #RikirathaOut” Mburu wrote.

Last week Gukena FM fans held a bash (Video Below) to bid him goodbye.

Thank you so so much to The Gukena Shabiks for the bash and heart warming reception on Sunday day at the Elephant Resort (The Secret Heaven) Kenol and for the gift of a Portrait painting of me. I really appreciate all of you and really appreciate the love you show. God Bless you all.
