Detectives arrested two Kiambu County government officials driving in a suspicious car but found them in possession of US dollars worth Sh6 million and the vehicle bore fake plate numbers.

The officers from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had flagged down Kiambu Finance Chief Officer Faith Njeri Harrison and another employee Harrison Kungu along Mpaka Road in Parklands after they suspected the Toyota Hilux Double Cabin (GK 565C) bore fake number plates.

On searching they discovered the money and United Nations rubber stamp. In addition, they established that the GK number plates were not genuine.
