Kameme TV anchor adopted poor girl from Homa Bay

Wangeci wa Kariuki adopted the girl when she was living in deplorable conditions.

Though sometimes she falls out with her fans, Kameme TV anchor Wangeci wa Kariuki has a compassion character not known by many.

For the seventh year, the “Rikiratha” show host has lived with a poor girl from Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County she adopted, promised to educate and treat her like her daughter.

The photos of Molen Akoth seven years ago with her sibling inside a dilapidated mud house back in the village in Nyanza is touching. But once you see the cheerful, healthy girl today you fall in love with Wangeci’s kindness.

“I adopted her seven years ago from Ndhiwa. Am not showing off for likes, sympathy or help. I just want to show how little love can change the world to a better place” Wangeci revealed recently.

She said; “I did not know how I will provide for her, but what I was sure of is that she will never sleep hungry as long as my kids had something to eat” Wangeci revealed recently.

When she picked Akoth she knew only Dholuo but now the girl she treats as her third child is conversant with Swahili and English.

“She is now a big girl very humble and hardworking and my kids love her so much. You don’t have to be rich to help. You only need some love” the newscaster told her fans who showered her with praises.
