Management of Neo Kenya Mpya buses has started a new line of transport services that is in collaboration with Lothian Buses operators based in United Kingdom.
Lothian Buses is the largest municipal bus company in the UK. It was founded in 1919. Their apparent merger is intended to transform the Thika-based sacco.
It seems Neo Kenya Mpya, which is one of the Kenya Mpya family business breakaway has sold some shares to Lothian.

They have since rebranded some of their buses and have christened them “Rail Line”. They also bear the names Lothian by Neo Kenya.
“We recently initiated our new product line of Lothian buses! To spread our services to more areas and to enable access of transportation services in Nairobi & Thika” the Management stated today.
The sacco operate Nairobi-Thika-Makongeni route where it competes with its splinter saccos; Kenya Mpya and Joy Kenya Mpya. Other rivals are Chania Travellers, Manchester Travelers Sacco and the latest entrant Super Metro that has taken a chunk of their customers.
