Gakuyo claims Waititu got Sh400 million Ekeza funds to campaign

Embattled Ekeza Sacco chairman Bishop David Ngare Kariuki aka Gakuyo is now claiming he gave Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu Sh0.4 billion to campaign for the seat.

Gakuyo who is being pursued by state to refund Sh1 billion to over 78, 000 members who invested in his businesses claims Waititu dishonoured their arrangement but Waititu has refuted claims.

“I assisted Waititu with Sh400 million which was part of Gakuyo Real estate and he won the seat then started fighting us. He started applying 48 Rules of Power to finish us” Gakuyo claimed.

Waititu countered his claims telling him to stop sideshows and refund members their money.

“Gakuyo and Nyoro (now Deputy Governor) were the ones dealing with the joint bank account we had. When people attain some age they should respect that and be speaking the truth. Gakuyo respect the Bishop title and refund members their money” Waititu responded.

It is claimed that Gakuyo was promised big position in Kiambu government if Waititu won but that was not fulfilled. He has now embarked on campaign to criticise Waititu and his ilk.
