John Kamau Mulei and his grandmother arrested today with Sh2.38 million.

Detectives from Special Crimes Prevention Unit in pursuit of men who robbed Standard Chartered Bank in Nairobi West Sh72 million have arrested two more suspects, including a 60-year-old granny.

John Kamau Mulei was arrested today at Muumandu village, in Machakos county alongside his grandmother Mary Kyalo in whose house in Kalumoni Sh2.38 million were recovered.

Mulei is brother to Bernard Mwendwa, a G4S officer who was arrested on Thursday in connection with the theft that took place in September 5.

Money recovered from Mary Kyalo in Kalumoni village, Machakos. She is grandmother of two suspects.

Two days after the heist Constable Chris Ayienda Machogu was arrested and Sh4 million recovered from his house in Kisii. He led detectives to his accomplice Constable Vincent Owuor in whose Sh3 million and Subaru Forester were recovered in his house in Kendu Bay.

The two constables were planning to escape to Uganda with the cash.

Constables Chris Ayienda Machogu and Vincent Owuor arrested last week with the stolen cash.
