Former Parliament Clerk succumbs to cancer

Justin Bundi, the immediate former Clerk of the National Assembly has died after a battle with Cancer.

the 62-year-old Bundi passed on yesterday evening while undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

He was the House clerk until he retired in March 2017. He rose from a District Officer to the post in Parliament and once served as Personal Assistant to former Parliament Speaker Francis ole Kaparo.

House Speaker Justin Muturi eulogised him as a distinguished public servant.

“He will be remembered for initiating great reforms during the transition from a unicameral establishment to a bicameral Parliament and also for his outstanding service as the Clerk of the East African Assembly,” Muturi mourned him.
