Dressed in a black suit, the scion of Salim’s music family strolled to the main stage, escorted like a queen by a group of accompanied by a squad of dancers as fans thirsted for the big moment.
It was the D-day for Sarafina Salim as she officially launched “Wendo Muguruki” album at Achievers Bar & Grill in Githurai 44 on Saturday.
She was accompanied by a host of popular Kikuyu secular musicians and the show did not disappoint as fans sampled the entertainment and booze.
The song set in a village dwells on a love betrayed by a hubby who has secured job abroad and forgot the woman who stood with him when he was struggling.
Sarafina hit the airwaves with Hamisi song in 2017 and has done about 19 songs.
She is the daughter of Mzee Joseph Salim Mwangi, who was pioneer of Mugiithi genre. Her other siblings; late Salim Junior, Mighty Salim, Naomi Salim, Salim Young and their nephew Kajei Salim are in music industry.
